Welcome to Cocina Mitho Chha, a unique space in the heart of Kathmandu where tradition, comfort, and purpose come together. Here, you can enjoy authentic Nepali flavors in our restaurant and find a peaceful stay in our boutique hotel, surrounded by warm hospitality. Every experience with us is designed to connect you with the culture of Nepal while supporting a greater vision: part of what you spend helps us sustain our educational and social projects for local youth.

Our boutique hotel is a serene retreat in the bustling city of Kathmandu. With 9 comfortable rooms, each offering natural light, we provide the perfect balance between rest and connection.

Every stay includes a delicious breakfast, carefully prepared to start your day with energy. Guests can also enjoy our three charming outdoor terraces and a peaceful patio, ideal for sitting, reading, relaxing, or sharing conversations.

"If you're looking for tranquility, great food, and excellent service, you have to come here. It's a restaurant with a beautiful garden and a fantastic atmosphere. It also offers several B&B rooms and is just 15 minutes from Thamel. The patatas bravas, red wine, and tortilla de patatas are all a real treat.
Moreover, it stands out for its social work, acting as a hospitality school for talented young people who would otherwise be emigrating. The best of Kathmandu, without a doubt."

"Wow, that's the only way to describe our 5 nights here. Debendra runs a great B&B and restaurant. On our first day, he explained what he does. He offers underprivileged children, like orphans, the opportunity to learn a trade. He does this for free and teaches them everything about hospitality. He funds it with the profits from the B&B and restaurant. So, all the money you spend here goes towards the education of these children.

When we arrived, we were welcomed by his students. They carried our bags to the room and we sat down to eat. We had a great lunch here. I tried the Momo and a salad first, and it was simply fantastic. We ate most of our meals here during our stay.

We also took a cooking class here. First, we were given an introduction to the Nepali language before starting. After finishing the language class, Debendra encouraged us to begin speaking in Nepali, so we’d remember it. We learned to make a great fish curry, potato salad, dahl, rice, spinach dish, and much more. The chefs were very patient and kind. They made sure we understood and wrote down all the recipes so we could try them when we got home.

The guys who were our waiters here were phenomenal. They are eager to learn and genuinely want to help. I had the chance to get to know them a little, and they love what they do and the opportunity they’ve received. After their training, they are placed elsewhere to continue learning.

So please visit this wonderful place not far from Thamel. Even if it’s not to support the cause, at least for a fantastic meal."

"I’m very impressed about that place, it’s clean and quiet, the people are very kind. There is terrace available with the exposure to sun so it’s perfect to work remotely. There is also very cozy restaurant in the garden. The breakfast is very good. There is also a lot of stores, bars and restaurants around and it’s close to Thamel. I really like this place and highly recommend it!"
